How a report identifies a lab-grown diamond
- Report number IGI lab-grown reports have their own numbering system: a string of digits beginning with LG, or a combination of letters and digits.
- Header LABORATORY GROWN DIAMOND appears in the top left corner, identifying the stone.
- Growth method The last line of the report notes whether the diamond was grown by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) or high pressure, high temperature (HPHT).
- As Grown These words mean the diamond has not been treated after growth to change its color, which IGI recognizes as a mark of high quality.
Z Diamond's diamonds
Once you can read an IGI report, you are no longer a beginner. Z Diamond's high-quality CVD lab-grown diamonds are certified “As Grown” by IGI, with no color treatment, and each stone matches its report, so you can buy with confidence.
